Coronavirus Policy

The purpose of this document is to provide clear guidance for safe operations through the prevention and diminishing the spread of COVID-19 during indoor training and the use of GochaWellness services at the Millpool Centre.

The outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been declared as a public health emergency, which has called us to have a proactive position in order to keep this unprecedented situation under control. Even though there is still undiscovered facts about the virus, we do know that it is transmitted through direct contact with respiratory droplets of an infected person (generated through coughing and sneezing) and also Individuals can be infected from touching surfaces contaminated with the virus and touching their face (e.g., eyes, nose, mouth). Despite the fact that the UK managed to reduce the rapid ascension of positive cases, the virus continues to spread, so it is important that we continue taking action to prevent further transmission.

Understanding basic information about coronavirus disease (COVID-19), including its symptoms, is vital at protecting ourselves from any infection: 

​

  • New & continuous Cough.

  • High Temperature.

  • Shortness of breath. 

  • Loss of/or change in your normal sense of smell & Taste. 

​

Individual precautions to be considered: 

​

  • Wash your hands often, especially before and after your class; after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the toilets and whenever your hands are exposed to any surface contact. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands or use a sanitiser when to arrive or to leave GochaWellness class. 

  • Wear your mask specially if you are speaking with others that don’t belong to your same household.

  • Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and avoid touching your face, eyes, mouth and nose 

  • Keep the social distance recommended by government guidelines.

GochaWellness measures to reduce the risk of spreading Coronavirus: 

​

Classes will be 10 people maximum, to avoid proximity among participants. This and the following measures will be reviewed on a monthly basis.

​

Entrance to Millpool Centre building 

  • GochaWellness students and the Instructor will access through the main entrance.

  • The Millpool Centre has an exhaustive cleaning program in the morning when the building is in use (touchpoints entrance area; doors & handles, switches, hand and grab rails.

  • Hand sanitiser provided at the entrance and in the room to be used by all visitors before entering the building. However, it is recommendable that everyone has their own sanitiser.

The exit of Millpool Centre building 

  • Students and the instructor will leave the room for the lateral or rear door only, to avoid people crossing on the main door of the building.

  • During departure, it is advised that students keep the social distance between participants.

 

Toilet

  • The students will be told to use the toilet located on the same floor of their class.

  • The Millpool Centre has an exhaustive cleaning program. Bathrooms will be cleaned in the morning on days the building is open for use; Visitors should adhere to hand washing advice on using the bathroom as well as social distancing when entering and leaving facilities.

Room

  • The rooms of use is the one located on the ground floor in the morning classes and on the 1st floor on Wednesday evening, which will accommodate a maximum of 10 participants plus the instructor.

  • We ask students not to walk in corridors or other rooms in the building.

  • The exercise and movements will be designed to keep the corresponding social distance.

  • The entry door will be open during class (when the weather makes it possible) to allow better ventilation.

  • The Millpool Centre has an exhaustive cleaning program and main rooms will be cleaned each morning when the building is in use including all touchpoints and floors.

  • Students should wear their masks until starting the class (unless they rather wearing them during the whole session) and they should wear them again right away after the class has finished, avoiding any virus risk when speaking with the instructor or other participants.

  • The Instructor might wear the mask as much as she can meanwhile it allows the correct communication with students. Alternatively, the use of the protecting screen instead of the mask.

Drinks

  • The kitchen will not be available until further notice. Students are advised to bring their own beverages if needed. Any refuse must be removed by visitors. 

  • When students bring their own drink. Please wash your hand frequently to avoid touch transmission to your drink container.  

​

Use of equipment or accessories

  • We advise students to bring their mats and their own accessories for each session.

  • The use of GochaWellness’ accessories will be by prior arrangement with students and they must be cleaned down by the user and returned to the storage supervised by the instructor. 

  • Students might use optional gloves meanwhile using accessories.

  • It is recommendable to clean your mat after using it in class.

Payment method

Avoiding any touch interaction that allows us to protect from any risk transmission, it is advised to limit payments to bank transference only, unless it is not possible because of a major reason and students need to do it in cash. Furthermore, in order to reduce this process is recommendable to buy packages that save students money and time, protecting them also from any physical interaction. Additional information

Cleaning Schedule for Millpool centre: The centre will be cleaned each morning before users arrive. 

  • Cleaning: all touchpoints, walls, windows (where they can be touched) handrails, switches, doors and handles, floors, bathrooms (touchpoints). All cleaning with anti-viral cleaning products, cleaning sterilised where possible or disposed of safely. 

  • Cleaning will be done in the morning before any centre users are present. One cleaner on shift at a time.

  • Personal Protective Equipment provided by Millpool Centre to the cleaning staff: gloves and apron (disposable after each shift).

 

Hire of the facility

  • Organisations & individuals hiring the Millpool centre facilities will be provided with the MPC Coronavirus risk assessment and the Millpool Centre Coronavirus policy document. 

  • Organisations & individuals provide the Millpool Centre with their own risk assessment & policies planned to protect their customers for their specific and individual activities, prior to hiring.
